New Plant Catalogue – announcement

A new book edition of the Plant Catalogue published by the Greenery Promotion Agency is coming. It is the most popular source of knowledge about plants produced on the Polish market. Gabriel and Magda Tomżyński, our family team, have been preparing the catalogue since its inception. The idea for this publication was conceived in our heads; we prepared a way of presenting plants, used theretofore by the EDITORIAL TEAM; along with Joanna Maj, we invented a method for presenting silhouettes, and prepared a significant number of descriptions in conifer and deciduous plant sections. This time, we also decided to describe parts of plants. We focused on conifers propagated by grafting, which we know very well due to our nursery’s specialization. We anxiously await the new edition!

Parthenocissus tricuspidata 'Veitchii' (three-lobed ivy “Veitchii”).

Vinefrom this year’s grafting, in a P7 container. Plant intended for further production, requires replanting to a larger container before selling to retail customers. Parthenocissus tricuspidata “Veitchii” is a noble ivy variety with full leaves with spectacular autumn colours. The vine is suitable for the Polish climate.

We participated in Daisy’s Gardens!

We took part in an interesting event. In late May (20-22.05.2016), another edition of DAISY DAYS took place in Pszczyna. The event takes its name from the city’s icon and its most famous citizen, the English aristocrat, Mary Theresa Olivia Cornwallis-West, also known as Princess Daisy. Daisy’s Gardens are a part of DAISY DAYS, a three-day event, which combines various forms of artistic and educational activities under one brand, related to the princess, her actions and favourite activities. The Princess’ love for beautiful plants and gardens is well known. In keeping with this tradition, a group of nurserymen from southern Poland creates garden compositions at the town square in Pszczyna. We were there too. For the first time! We were mesmerized by the atmosphere of this beautiful place, the city authorities’ kindness, and great interest of visitors. Our gardens dedicated to Daisy were visited by 15,000 guests.

Come to the “Daisy’s Gardens” Festival in Pszczyna

We are proud to inform you that our nursery will participate in the outdoor event “Daisy’s Gardens” on 20-22 May 2016. Along with other nurseries from southern Poland, we will present our plants in beautiful arrangements at the town square in Pszczyna. At the same place, there will be a fair with exhibitor-produced plants.

As part of Princess Daisy Days, in addition to gardens, there will be many other attractions for children and adults.
